Iran short ‘I Don’t Like Here’ has won an awards at the 9th Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, CICFF 2017 in India.
Directed and written by Javad Daraei in 2016, the movie won the ‘Best Free Speech’ award of the event and received the Golden Fox.
The 20-minute flick depicts Eli, a young girl, who has been involved in a personality dualism and regardless of her constant disagreements with her father, she still seeks her true nature.
The flick has so far won the ‘Best Film’ award from 9 international film festivals of Bleedingam, Moondance, Saint Cloud, Wine County, Holleywood, Tryon, Southompton and Wellington.
Calcutta International Cult Film Festival is a monthly online international event. Each month World film industry specialists announce 20 Officially Selected films in each category and out of them one film receives the Best of Category award.
It has been held monthly since November 2016.
